Welcome to the Celtic Purple!

I have been teaching classes in Astrology, Tarot, and Palmistry for over 30 years and here you will find some of my wisdom and ideas which have come to me through my teachers and/or my Celtic intuitive understanding that was born in my blood.   I have often felt totally differently rather than adopting traditional meanings of Tarot cards or lines in the hand, and had my own understanding of such things.

As a teenager, I developed an interest in astrology in my search for self-identity.   As an adopted child, I felt something was missing.   This spurred my interest in anything which might lead to who I was.   Astrology seemed like a definite fit.   Taking my first real class in astrology was around 1971 in Corpus Christi, TX, at Del Mar College when astrologer Nance McCullough taught her first class in astrology in their night-time adult education format.   I soaked it up like a sponge.

In 1974, I moved to Houston where I started to search out more classes to take and eventually found the Chapel of Prayer and Rev. Eleanor Button.  About the same time, I discovered a book at a mall bookstore, You Were Born Again to Be Together by Dick Sutphen on past lives and reincarnation.  This coincided with Dick Sutphen presenting a Past Life weekend workshop at the Royal Coach Inn in Houston.   Little did I know, this weekend workshop would change my life in so many ways.   It was only the beginning.

A few months after the Sutphen workshop, I went to Scottsdale, Arizona, for a week long seminar with some of the most well-known people in the metaphysical field.   Primarily, there was Richard Bach, author of Jonathan Livingston Seagull, and Brad and Francie Steiger, Grant Gudmundson, and others.   while the lectures during the day were informative, it was really the late nights poolside where there was more diverse exchanges of ideas and thoughts.   This is where we all connected.

I was changed at this point in how I viewed life and I felt my life took a new direction.

Upon returning to Houston, I got involved in meditation classes with Rev. Eleanor Button at the Chapel of Prayer.   This led to classes in astrology and other subjects, but primarily, I got involved with a friend from the class who wanted us to participate n the Texas Renaissance Festival in Plantersville, TX.  This involved Renaissance costumes and a crash course of self-instruction in palmistry.    The first morning of walking into the festival to set up our station, some of the musicians asked how long we had been doing this, and I asked "what time is is?"   Time was not on my side of knowing what all the lines of the hand meant so I relied on the only thing I could -- intuition.   I would hold the person's hands and tell them what I felt, what came to me in spirit.   I was as surprised as they were when the information was received with acceptance.

Over the course of the following 16 years, I continued to work the Texas Renaissance Festival, but without my beginning partner.   I also started studying palmistry, astrology and Tarot.  I finally found the Esoteric Philosophy Center in Houston and was able to take classes in palmistry and debate it with Richard Unger.   In reading for people, I struggled with imparting what I learned in books, from Richard, and my own gut feelings won out.

In 1991, I was invited to Salt Lake City, Utah, to teach a class in palmistry, and also to be a guest on a tv show and radio station.

Time marched on and I continued to develop my teaching in these subjects.   I taught for a number of years through Houston's Leisure Learning Unlimited, as well as through various metaphysical associations.   I lectured at many local groups, and my interests developed in certain areas, mostly psychological astrology, and primarily, astrology in relation to adoption issues as well as relationships.

Life then took me to Los Angeles, Califronia, in 1991 where I took a job in public relations and photography catering to celebrities.
